Sustainability at ToldPrint™

Made to order. Designed to last.

A practical look at how ToldPrint™ approaches production, materials, packaging and product longevity.

We believe responsible design starts with clarity: making only what is ordered, avoiding unnecessary overproduction and sharing what we can verify.

Our principles

  • Made-to-order first: items are produced after purchase to reduce unnecessary stock and overproduction.
  • Product clarity: we aim to provide clear information about materials, fit, care and production where available.
  • Wearability: we design pieces to work in real wardrobes, not as disposable trend items.
  • Care over volume: we prefer focused product families and long-term visual consistency over fast, disconnected releases.
  • No blanket claims: certifications, materials and sustainability details are treated as product-specific, not universal.

Made-to-order production

ToldPrint™ products are made to order through trusted international production partners. This means an item is produced only after a customer places an order, instead of being manufactured in bulk and stored as excess inventory.

  • Less excess stock: made-to-order production helps avoid unsold inventory.
  • Flexible fulfilment: orders may be routed to available production partners depending on product type and destination.
  • Tracked shipping: orders are shipped with tracking where available.
  • Regional routing when possible: production may be routed to the closest available partner to support faster delivery across the US, EU and UK.

Delivery routes, production locations and available fulfilment options can vary by product, region and supplier availability.

Materials

Materials vary by product. ToldPrint™ uses product information provided by production partners and suppliers to describe each item as accurately as possible.

  • T-shirts: may use cotton or cotton-based fabrics depending on the specific blank.
  • Sweatshirts and hoodies: may use cotton-poly blends or other product-specific fabric compositions.
  • Tote bags: may use cotton, polyester, canvas-style or product-specific materials depending on the model.
  • Caps and hats: may use cotton, polyester blends or other structured headwear materials depending on the product.
  • Certifications: when certifications such as OEKO-TEX®, US Cotton Trust Protocol or similar programs are listed, they apply only to the relevant product or supplier documentation.

Always check the individual product page for the most accurate material and care information.

Production partners

ToldPrint™ works with external production and fulfilment partners to print, embroider, pack and ship products. These partners help us operate without holding large inventory.

  • Products are produced through established print-on-demand and fulfilment networks.
  • Partner availability may vary by product, region and order destination.
  • Product-specific compliance, care and safety information is added where applicable.
  • If a product has supplier-documented certifications or safety details, we aim to include them in the relevant listing or compliance section.

We avoid making broad claims about every facility or supplier unless we can verify them across the relevant product.

Packaging

Packaging depends on the product type, production partner and fulfilment location. Our general approach is to avoid unnecessary extras and keep packaging functional.

  • Practical packaging: products are packed to protect them during transit.
  • No excessive inserts: we avoid unnecessary printed extras unless they add useful care or product information.
  • Partner-dependent materials: packaging materials may vary by fulfilment partner and destination.

Because packaging is handled by production partners, exact materials may differ between products and fulfilment locations.

Care & longevity

One of the simplest ways to reduce product waste is to take care of the items you already own. We provide care guidance to help customers extend the life of their ToldPrint™ pieces.

  • Follow the product-specific care instructions on each listing.
  • Wash printed apparel inside out where recommended.
  • Use cold or low-temperature washing when suitable for the product.
  • Avoid ironing directly over printed artwork.
  • Do not overload tote bags beyond normal everyday use.

Product-specific care instructions may differ between T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, tote bags, caps and accessories.

What we want to improve

  1. More product-level transparency: clearer material and supplier information on individual product pages.
  2. Better care resources: practical guides for washing, storing and maintaining apparel and accessories.
  3. Cleaner product families: fewer disconnected releases and more focused designs that can be worn longer.
  4. Packaging visibility: more accurate packaging details where production partners provide them.
  5. Responsible expansion: adding new products only when they make sense for the brand and customer use.

This page will evolve as we improve product information, supplier documentation and fulfilment transparency.

FAQ

Are ToldPrint™ products sustainable?

We avoid making broad sustainability claims. ToldPrint™ uses made-to-order production to reduce unnecessary inventory, and we aim to provide clearer product-level information wherever possible.

How does made-to-order production reduce waste?

Items are produced only after they are ordered, which helps reduce unsold stock compared with traditional bulk production. It does not eliminate all environmental impact, but it helps avoid unnecessary inventory.

Do you use organic cotton?

Some products may include organic, certified or program cotton when the supplier provides it. Certifications are product-specific and should be checked on the individual product page.

Where are items made?

Items are produced through trusted international production partners. The exact production location can vary depending on product type, stock, availability and delivery destination.

How should I care for my products?

Always follow the care instructions shown on the product page or garment label. Different products may have different requirements depending on material and print method.
